Telengana Garajna On 7th Feb 2010 at Nizam College Ground

Jamaat-e-Islami Hind stands for high moral standards and justice. It is against Regionalism, Communalism and Linguistic and Sectarian Chauvinism. Jamaat demands the government to create Telangana State for ensuring justice and equitable development and do not let the regional passions to flare up.

Jamaat-e-Islami Hind supports the demand and struggle of people of Telangana for a separate state. The statehood to Telangana is an effective strategy to curtail the backwardness of the region and to provide People of Telangana their due rights and justice.

Jamaat is worried about the ongoing situation of continual tension and uncertainty in the state. This situation is causing great hardship to the common people. Central government should come forward decisively and should make an end to this uncertainty with an immediate and firm decision. The apprehensions of the people of Andhra and Rayaseema should also be resolved and their resolution is also possible only by a proactive and decisive role of the Union government.

Jamaat has decided to organize a massive public meeting “Telengana Garajna” under the slogan “Justice forTelengana – Telengana for Justice”. The meeting will be convened on Sunday the 7th of February 2010 at Nizam College Ground, from 11 am. The meeting will be addressed by, JAC associated and other political, non-political leaders, students joint action committee(JAC) leaders and other prominent social activists. Apart from this in all Telengana Region there will be different programmes like corner meetings, Justice rallies and people’s protests etc., etc., we expect huge gathering on 7th of Feb at the Grand Public Meeting.
