The situation in Telangana is very serious, intense and grave. Congress Govt has once again showing its dismal apathy towards Telangana peoples’ aspirations. While lacs of people of Telangana -  students, employees, workers, farmers -  have taken to streets to demand for separate state of Telangana, Congress Govt has brought in thousands of military, BSF, para military, grehounds and police troops to brutally supress the democratic movement. It has also brought in thousands of goons and anti social elements to disrupt the just struggle of people of Telangana. While all the poilitical parties have expressed their support for Telangana statehood only Congress has been exhibiting anti Telangana undemocratic fascist attitude. The TRS leader KCR is continuing his fast for the 11th day and his health is said to be in critical condition. The  utter contempt for his  life shown by Congress needs to be abhorred by all means. The Congress Govt has made no statement so far respecting the democratic aspirations of Telangana people. In stead, the Telangana University campuses are turned into police camps and students are being forcibly evacuated from their hostels. The police have time and again beat the students black and blue and threatened to supress them even more brutally. The goons of Congress MLAs and Ministers are attacking the students of Telangana and are threatening the democratically elected peoples representatives of Telanagna.
 
Given this situation,  it is indeed very important and critical as Telangana NRIs to express our solidarity to the democratic movement for statehood for Telangana and show that we are with the people of Telangana.
 
Please join us to express your solidarity to the Telangana movement and protest against the undemocratic, brutally fascist and unjust anti-people attitude of Congress Govt.
 
Dear Telanganites, come one and all,  and join us in the demonstration at the Consulate General of India in New York City on Friday December 11, 2009 from 11AM to 3PM.
