HYDERABAD: As his hands were completely burnt, Anelli Shekar Reddy had to use his toe to put the impression on his dying declaration that said he had taken the drastic step in support of a separate Telangana.
Shekar Reddy succumbed to the burns on Tuesday night at the Osmania General Hospital.

2009 Telangana Movement has had its share of sacrifices. Mother Telangana has lost its children many times, in various struggles during several years. In the Sayudha Poratam, we lost 4000 lives against the Nizam’s army. In 1969, more than 370 people including very young students succumbed to the police action instigated by the cruel governance of Kasu Brahmananda Reddy. In the 2009 novel movement, unfortunately again, we lost more than 70 lives. This is a humble dedication to all the Martyr’s . We will never forget your sacrifices and we will let the world hear about it!
