పరీక్ష కేంద్రం వద్దకు చేరుకున్న విద్యార్థులు జై తెలంగాణ.. జై జై తెలంగాణ, సాయికుమార్ అమర్ రహే అంటూ నినాదాలు చేస్తూ పరీక్షలను బహిష్కరిస్తున్నామని ప్రకటించారు. సాయికుమార్ మృతికి నివాళి అర్పించారు.

మహిళా జేఏసీ ప్రొఫెసర్ సుజాత మాట్లాడుతూ విద్యార్థుల బలిదానం వృథా కాదని, తెలంగాణ ఇచ్చేందుకు ఇంకా ఎంత మందిని ఈ ప్రభుత్వం బలి తీసకుంటుందని అన్నారు. ఇప్పటికైనా కేంద్ర ప్రభుత్వం కళ్లు తెరిచి ప్రత్యేక తెలంగాణ రాష్ట్ర ఏర్పాటు కోసం పార్లమెంట్‌లో బిల్లు ప్రవేశ పెట్టాలని డిమాండ్ చేశారు. ఈ కార్య క్రమంలో శాతవాహన విద్యార్థి జేఏసీ కన్వీ టనర్ సాంబ మూర్తి, నాగరాజు, రవి, కోటి, విద్యా ర్థులు పాల్గొన్నారు.

Shekar Reddy succumbed to the burns on Tuesday night at the Osmania General Hospital.

A resident of LB Nagar, Reddy participated in the relay hunger strike organised by locals on Sunday. “He was there till 5 p.m at the hunger strike camp but vanished later.

He returned home late when we were all asleep. We were jolted out of sleep by the screams of Shekar and were flabbergasted to see him in flames,” a visibly shattered cousin of Shekar, V Mayuri told Expresso.

According to her, Shekar Reddy doused himself with kerosene around 2.30 a.m and set self ablaze. “Even then, he kept shouting Jai Telangana,” she said.

The family members shifted him to OGH in a 108 ambulance.

“Even in the hospital, he continued to say Jai Telangana. We were shocked by his decision to commit suicide for the cause of statehood,” Mayuri said.

Linga Reddy and Prasanna, parents of Shekar Reddy, were inconsolable.

When a magistrate met Shekar Reddy at the OGH, he reportedly raised slogans in support of Telangana.

At 11.30 p.m on Tuesday, Shekar breathed his last. Doctors said he suffered 83 percent burns.

Shekar had been working as a car driver from some years. His father Linga Reddy is also a driver.

Locals said ever since the Telangana movement began, Shekar Reddy had been actively participating in all programmes and even encouraging others to join the agitation.

“Since childhood, he had been a sensitive person. We do not know what forced him to commit suicide but it looks like he got a feeling that Telangana might not come,’’ a relative of Shekar Reddy said.

As the news of Shekar’s death spread, local Telangana activists declared “LB Nagar bandh.’’ Many shops and other establishments downed shutters. Policemen, including CRPF, were deployed in and around LB Nagar to prevent any untoward incident.

Jai Telangana! Jai Jai Telangana!

Following are some of the examples of sacrifices, as reported in daily newspapers. There are several reports of deaths due to heart attack, and in suicides, in several forms such as self immolation, hanging, consuming pesticides etc

1. K. Srikantha Chary, who had studied Physiotherapy course in ISO Junior college,Tarnaka, became an active activist in LB Nagar area. Shocked by the arrest of KCR on 29^th Nov. Srikanth  dowsed himself with Kerosine and set ablaze.He belongs to Mothkur mandal of Nalgonda Dist, but was living in Chaitanyapuri. When  Kamineni Hospital refused him treatment., he was rushes to Appolo Hospital with 71% burns. Later he died on 3^rd Dec. in hospital, before taking his body to native village, TRS activists and student organized funeral procession in Hyd and was placed at Gunpark Martyrs stupa for a while before performing last rites. 2. Bhukya Praveen,24, , belonging to Gopal Thanda in Warangal Dist. He studied B.Sc, B. Ed, and has beenactively working withTRS, shocked by the arrest, Praveen committed suicide on 30^th Nov.and died.( AJ )

3. Srikanth ,25,  Medak Dist, Duddeda Mandal  committed suicide on 30^th Nov, shocked by the arrest of KCR.(AJ)

4. Prithviraj, belonging to Valgonda village of Mallapur Mandal in Karimnagar Dist committed suicide shocked by the arrest of KCR(AJ)

5. Laxminarayan, of Illanthakunta mandal, Karimnagar Dist committed suicide.

6. Police Kishtiah , a constable of 1992 batch, climbed on the Mobile Phone 18. Tower on Ist Dec, and shot himself with the revolver and died instantly. He was frustrated with administration, and only in separate Telangana he will get justice, according to suicide note.Several police officers visited Kamareddy, Nizamabad District and paid homage(The Hindu).

7. Mallineni Rajkumar, a student studying Inter, belonging to Keshavapur village, Warangal Dist committed suicide by hanging demanding separate Telangana.(AJ)

8. Cheruku Anjiah, 32,  belonging to Warangal Dist,Palakurthy Mandal,Palmidi Village an active TRS activist stopped eating food after KCR’s fast and when parents abused him committed suicide on 4^th Dec by holding electricity live wires. He left behind a wife and three children. Who will rescue his family(AJ)                        

            9. 30 year unidentified traveler, near Jangaon Rly Station,  jumped from Krishna Express in the evening of 6^th Dec, Shouting JAI TELANGANA. He lost both the legs and later succumbed to his injuries in Hospital. In another report, he went into argument in favour of Telangana, and he jumped under running train AP express and died.(A J & Others)

            10. T. Naga Raju, 20, TRS student wing committed suicide, by holding high tension live electric wire, at Sudanapally Village in Korvi Mandal, Warangal Dist. On 6^th Dec, he left a note blaming Congress Govt in forming separate Telangana State,he also expressed in his note that at least with his death telangana agitation would be further strengthened.(AJ)

            11. Kaatha Balamallu,50, TRS worker, who is a construction worker,belonging to Komuravalli village, cherial Mandal, Warangal Dist. Having heard the rumour that KCR died in Hyderabad, suffered from heart attack and died on 6^th Dec. (AJ)

            12. Baregalla Ashok, 23, TRS activist, who was active in organizing bandh etc, poured kerosene on his body and set ablaze at Narayanapuram Village, Yellareddy pet Mandal, Karimnagar Dist, and died in hospital, on 6^th Dec(AJ).

            13. Arelly Krishna, 18, an ITI student committed suicide by consuming pesticide in Jammikunta mandal, Rachapally village of Karimnagar Dist, having believed the rumour that KCR went in to Coma on 6^th Dec.(AJ)

            14. Guraviah, 45, TRS worker hanged himself to a tree on 6^th Dec. at Makhdoomnagar village, Nanganur Mandal, Medak Dist. Protesting against delay in formation of Telangana State.(AJ)

            15. Devaraye Ramesh, 23, a PG student, an ABVP activist is battling for life at NIMS after he jumped from a water reservoir at Bachannapet mandal, Warangal Dist. He painted Jai Telangana slogans all over his body. Latest situation———(AJ)

              16. Chinnam Mallesh,16, belonging to Bhuvanagiri Mandal, Veeravalli village consumed pesticides, he was rushed to Hospital. Latest condition—–(AJ)

  17. Kontha Chinna Malliah, belonging to Dubbaguntapalli of Karimnagar Dist a TRS activist having been humiliated and attacked by congress workers, seemed to have consumed pesticides on 6^th Dec, and died.(AJ)

            18. G.Venkateshwarlu, 45, TRS activist hanged himself to death on 7^th Dec. at his home town inAnde Villaga, Mirdoddi Mandal, Medak Dist. He left a suicide note demanding telangana state.(TOI)

            19. Narsing Naik,36, hanged himself on 7^th Dec.from a tree at Mamidipally in Sangqareddy, Mandal, Medak Dist(TOI).

            20. Satish Yadav,TRS activist hanged himself on 7^th Dec., after participating in a rally demanding separate state, Bhongir, Nalgonda Dist(TOI)..

             21.Lingiah of Nemmikallu in Atmakur Mandal, consumed Pesticides on 7^th Dec, latter he died in hospital.(TOI)

            22. Mallesh, belonging to Palaram village in Nandigudem mandal consumed pesticide on 7^th Dec. to end his life. He died shouting Jai Telangana slogans.(TOI)

            23. Jana Bai, a tribal girl, set herself on fire during a TRS rally, at Gauraram,Gandhari Mandal,Nizamabad Dist.. She suffered 80% burns, condition serious in Banswada hospital.Latest situation—-(TOI)

            24. Raju, TRS activist held high electric wire at Turkapadagam,Kandimandal,Medak Dist.Even he experienced serious shock, he was shouting Jai Telangana Slogans —–(TOI)

            25. Tirupathi, 18, student at Mallapur, in Illanthakunta Mandal, Karimnagar Dist, poured kerosene over his body and set a blaze. Latest condition —-(TOI)

            26. B. Sudhakar, 40, TRS activist at Mutyampet, Mallapur Mandal,  Karimnagar immolated, condition critical, latest situation—–(TOI)

         33. Veeranagulu,26, TRS activist, belonging toNalgonda Dist, Palaram village, after participating Candle light procession, consumed pesticides, when he was being shifted to Kodad hospital he died on 7^th Dec.(AJ)

            34. Sarva Sreenu, 30, belonging to Warangal Dist, venkatapuram mandal, salempeta village, TRS activist died of heart attack, after viewing the serious condition of KCR in TV.on 9^th Dec.(Sakshi)

            35. Fakruddin, 65, belonging to Station Ghanpur, retired railway employee and who was associated and liked KCR very much died of hear attack on 9^th Dec after seeing KCR in critical condition in TV (sakhi)

            36. Eegela Madhukar, 10, participated in in Kagadala rally, and kerosene fell on his body on 5^th Dec, with flames accidentally, in Kanthaipalem and died in Gandhi hospital on 9^th Dec.(Sakshi)

            37. Vangala Raju, 24, belonging to Velli village, Raghunathpally mandal , warangal Dist , TRS activist, committed suicide by pouring kerosene on his body after knowing the critical condition of KCR, died in MGM hospital waarangal Dist.(Sakshi)

            38. Kashiah, 55, belonging to Nizamabad Dist, Gandhari mandal, TRS activist died of heart attack on 9^th Dec after watching TV and KCR.(saksi)

            39. Ranganaboina Ramesh,32, belonging to Medak Dist, Mirudoddi Mandal, Dharmaram Village died of heart attack, learning about the serious condition of KCR(saksi).

            40. Manjula, 25, belonging to Karimnagar Dist, Vemulawada committed suicide by consuming pesticides on 8^th night, died in the afternoon of 9^th Dec.(Sakshi)

            41.Goli Sreenivas,35, belonging to karimnagar dist, peddapalli mandal, in Rangapur village committed suicidec by consuming pesticides and died on 9^th Dec, with a suicide note to intensify Telangana Agitation. (Saksi)

            42. Bala Narsimha Goud, 55, belonging to Maddikunta village in Mustabad Mandal of Karimnagar Dist, died of hear attack on 9^th Dec, after watching Telangana and KCR news in TV.(Sakshi)

            43. Raja Goud, alias Basha Goud, 55, belonging toAdilabad Dist, Chennur mandal, TRS vice president, died 0n 9^th Dec by committing suicide by hanging himself(Sakshi).

            44. Boddu Krishna, 41, belonging to Tilaknagar Colony, Mancherial, Adilabad Dist died of hear attack.(Sakshi)

In addition, Andhra Jyothi has publishes on 10-12-2009, a consolidated list of 37 deaths, date-wise, and District-wise, after eliminating common names, following are some others who sacrificed their lives for the cause of Telangana. Total sacrifices exceeds 60 lives.

.1. Anasi Ramesh, 25, belonging to Karimnagar Dist, Peddapalli mandal, Chandapalli village, who celeberated the news of Chimambram’sannouncement regarding T-State. Subsequently after watching news emanapating from Andhra leaders, felt shocked and comitted suicide by consuming pesticides and died on 110^th Dec, 09.(AJ)

2.Ponnam Ahok, 23, recently completed B.Ed., having felt whether Telangana would be reality or not, consumed pesticides and hanged himself on 14^th Dec. He belongs to Warangal Dist, Bachannapet Mandal, Mansanpally village, he expressed in his suicide note that all telanganites should fight unitedly for Telangana Stathood (AJ).

3. Ilineni Bheemiah, 35, auto driver of Karimnagar died of heart attack, on 14^th Dec.

4.Ranganayakulu, died of heart attack on 14^th Dec. fearing that telangana may not be a reality having watvhed TV continuously.(AJ)

5.Kommu Laxmi Rajyam, belonging to Karimnagar, Chandurthi mandal, Kishtam pet Village died of heart attack in the early hours of 12^th Dec., fearing Telangana may not be possible.(AJ)
